About this role

A PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel in Wesley Chapel, Florida, supporting inpatient acute care rehabilitation under supervising Occupational Therapists. ### What you'll do - Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans established by the supervising OT, applying appropriate therapeutic procedures and techniques - Document patient interventions, progress, and response to treatment accurately and timely using objective, measurable terminology in accordance with insurance and hospital standards - Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs to support continuity of care after discharge - Conduct age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competency requirements relevant to the scope of care - Serve as a clinical instructor and mentor to students and new staff within the department - Participate in performance improvement initiatives and community outreach events to extend clinical expertise beyond the hospital setting ### What we're looking for - Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure — required - Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant — required - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required - NBCOT certification — preferred - Entry-level knowledge of medical occupational therapy principles, diagnostics, and treatment - Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $21.56 – $40.09 (annualized $44,845 – $83,387 at full-time equivalent) - PRN day-shift schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM - Three weekend days required per month; one winter and one summer holiday required annually ### About the practice AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network operating across the United States.
