A Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN/weekend days) at AdventHealth DeLand provides direct patient care under physical therapist supervision at the hospital's rehabilitation department in DeLand, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations, adjusting approaches in consultation with the supervising physical therapist.
- Collect and communicate patient data to physical therapists, including discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using measurable, objective terminology in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies.
- Charge patients accurately using CPT code format per insurance guidelines and department price file.
- Oversee and coordinate care provided by rehabilitation aides, students, and support personnel per established regulations.
- Identify patient and caregiver education needs, provide teaching, and document comprehension appropriately.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy (required).
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or temporary PTA license (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
- Willingness to adjust work hours to meet patient care needs on weekend day shifts.

- Pay range: $21.56–$40.09/hour ($44,845–$83,387 annualized).
