About this role

AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant for weekend day shifts at its hospital campus in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist, applying appropriate therapy procedures and techniques. - Document patient interventions and progress accurately and timely using measurable, objective terminology consistent with insurance guidelines and department policies. - Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs designed to support treatment carryover after discharge. - Conduct age-appropriate assessments and interventions while maintaining annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care. - Act as a clinical instructor and mentor for students and new staff within the rehabilitation department. - Participate in performance improvement initiatives and community educational events to sustain clinical competencies and evidence-based practice. ### What we're looking for - Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (required). - Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure (required). - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - NBCOT certification (preferred). - Basic computer proficiency including EMR systems and Microsoft Office. - Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $21.56–$40.09 (annualized $44,845–$83,387 equivalent). - PRN weekend day schedule offering flexible supplemental income. - Access to AdventHealth's mission-driven clinical environment with mentorship and continuing education opportunities. ### About the practice AdventHealth DeLand is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network serving communities across the United States.
