About this role
An outpatient Occupational Therapist (full-time, day shift) with AdventHealth serves patients at the Rome, Georgia rehabilitation clinic located at 2112 Shorter Ave NW.
### What you'll do
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and established standards.
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, therapeutic activities, and visit frequency.
- Document patient care accurately, completely, and on time using measurable and objective terminology.
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning and home recommendations.
- Oversee care delivered by certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in practice changes driven by performance improvement activities.
### What we're looking for
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Temporary OT license (required).
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred; education must meet licensing body requirements).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to serve as a clinical instructor for students and support staff.
