About this role
An RN Oncology Nurse Navigator at AdventHealth Winter Garden coordinates cancer care across a multidisciplinary team, guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment planning, and surveillance at the Winter Garden, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Serve as liaison across the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely orders, medical records, consents, and documentation are in place
- Coordinate care with physicians and supportive services, navigating patients through treatment planning, medical management, and ongoing surveillance
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, self-care, and health goals throughout the cancer care continuum
- Evaluate care plan effectiveness and monitor patient and family responses to achieve desired outcomes
- Facilitate communication among the healthcare team, patients, departments, and outside entities via phone, email, EMR, and patient portal
- Participate in community education and outreach programs promoting oncology health and wellness
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience required
- 1+ year of oncology nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate cancer education
