Post Exposure Registered Nurse PRN

A PRN Post-Exposure Registered Nurse role at AdventHealth (CentraCare) based in Maitland, Florida, providing mobile communicable disease exposure response services across multiple client sites. ### What you'll do - Travel to client locations to assess and treat high-risk communicable disease exposures, including patient counseling, blood draws, and medication administration - Perform reasonable suspicion and post-accident screenings to collect blood/alcohol and urine drug screen specimens - Coordinate next steps with exposed patients, source persons, clients, charge nurses, labs, medical directors, and supervisors - Document all patient and client interactions accurately in EMR and complete DOT and chain-of-custody forms - Respond promptly to patient destinations within established on-call timeframes - Operate independently in non-traditional settings including incarcerated facilities and emergency environments, following federal, state, and client-specific protocols ### What we're looking for - Active Florida RN license (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred) - 1+ years of nursing experience (required); 1+ years of occupational or employee health experience (preferred) - Strong venipuncture skills and ability to maintain specimen integrity in non-clinical settings - BLS/CPR certification and valid Driver's License (both required) - Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) certification (preferred); knowledge of HIV testing statutes (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $31.53–$52.24/hour (approximately $65,582–$108,659 annualized at 2,080 hours) - PRN/per-diem schedule with day-weekend shifts ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with CentraCare serving as its urgent and occupational care division in Central Florida.
