About this role
An Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is needed for a part-time, weekend inpatient rehabilitation role at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist, following practice standards, insurance guidelines, and individualized patient needs.
- Perform age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.
- Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs to support treatment carryover after discharge.
- Document interventions and patient progress accurately and on time using objective, measurable terminology consistent with standards of practice and department policies.
- Serve as a clinical instructor and mentor to students and new staff within the rehab unit.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and policy reviews to maintain clinical competencies and evidence-based practice.
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (required).
- Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- NBCOT certification (preferred).
- Ability to maintain department productivity standards and adjust hours to meet patient needs.
