About this role
AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a full-time Manager of Facilities Engineering to oversee hospital maintenance operations at its Hendersonville, North Carolina campus.
### What you'll do
- Direct daily activities of the hospital maintenance department, including scheduling, prioritizing, and assigning work orders
- Monitor routine and preventive maintenance of utilities, environmental systems, HVAC/R, boilers, chillers, and air handlers
- Manage and oversee maintenance and construction projects from initiation through completion to meet quality and compliance standards
- Respond to emergency facility calls and maintain accurate records of all repairs in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Apply continuous quality improvement principles to measure service effectiveness and prevent patient safety incidents
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt patient care
### What we're looking for
- 5+ years of relevant facilities maintenance experience in a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated competence with building automation systems, DDC controls, fire alarm/suppression, boilers, chillers, and HVAC/R
- Working knowledge of regulatory standards from DNV, AHCA, OSHA, and NFPA
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), EPA Refrigerant Universal, or DNV CHOP certification preferred
