About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a PRN Wound Care RN to support its outpatient wound clinic in Ocala, Florida, working 1–3 weekdays per week.
### What you'll do
- Perform detailed wound assessments and documentation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with difficult or chronic wounds.
- Lead clinic care teams as case manager, delegating tasks and managing staff time effectively.
- Apply specialty dressings and procedures using proper technique while maintaining strict infection control standards.
- Educate patients and families on wound management, using departmental tools to minimize follow-up calls.
- Coordinate with external partners including home health nurses, insurance case managers, and referring physicians.
- Drive proactive clinic management to minimize wait times and maintain high physician and patient satisfaction.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- 1+ year of wound care and case management experience as an RN.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Demonstrated sharp debridement competency within 3 months of hire.
- CWON, CWS, or WCC wound care certification preferred.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $31.53–$52.24 (annualized $65,582–$108,659 at 2,080 hours).
- PRN schedule: Monday–Friday, 1–3 days per week; shifts of 4–8 hours between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
