Wound Ostomy Continence RN PRN

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a PRN Wound Ostomy Continence RN for its outpatient wound care clinic in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Perform detailed wound assessments and documentation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with difficult or chronic wounds. - Lead clinic care team as case manager, delegating tasks and managing staff time appropriately. - Execute sharp debridement and apply evidence-based wound, ostomy, and continence care protocols. - Participate in departmental quality improvement activities, including patient-centered quality management measures. - Deliver clear patient education and discharge instructions to minimize follow-up calls. - Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure coordinated, efficient care. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas. - Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS/CPR certification required. - CWON, CWS, or WCC certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). - Competency in sharp debridement within 3 months of hire; strong critical thinking and assessment skills. ### What's included - Pay range: $32.50–$60.45/hr (annualized ~$67,600–$125,700 at full-time equivalency; PRN rate applies). - Day shift only, 8:00 am–5:30 pm; no weekends, no holidays, no on-call. - Flexible PRN scheduling with variable day pickup. ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving patients across the country with a whole-person care philosophy.
