About this role
A full-time day-shift Wound Care Registered Nurse role at AdventHealth Orlando (Ginsburg Tower) in Orlando, Florida, supporting patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs across a nine-hospital system.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors for wound, ostomy, and continence patients
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, and self-care strategies to support compliance and continuity
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in product evaluations, in-services, and education programs within the WOC specialty program
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans based on outcomes

AdventHealth Orlando operates one of Central Florida's largest hospital systems and is the only facility in the region offering a formal practicum program for nurses pursuing WOC certification. The Wound Care team serves patients across all nine AdventHealth hospital campuses, with an outpatient ostomy clinic providing post-discharge continuity of care.
