Environmental Serv Hospital Room Care

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a part-time Environmental Services Hospital Room Care technician at its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Clean and sanitize assigned patient rooms and public areas daily, including all surfaces and fixtures - Collect and remove trash from patient and common areas throughout the shift - Stock paper products, cleaning solutions, and supplies in assigned locations as needed - Apply infection control and isolation procedures using proper cleaning equipment and techniques - Use the Bed Management system and handheld technology to support efficient patient bed turnover ### What we're looking for - Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, product labels, and basic reports - Basic computer skills including use of standard office software, mouse, and keyboard - Strong customer service skills and comfort interacting directly with patients - Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic arithmetic - High school diploma or equivalent preferred; housekeeping or custodial experience preferred - Healthcare environmental services experience preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $15.96–$25.54/hr ($33,197–$53,123 annualized); trainees with no experience start at $17.50/hr - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a full-service hospital located at 9100 W 74th St in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system. The environmental services team plays a direct role in patient safety and infection prevention across the facility. This role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7 AM–11 AM, totaling 20 hours per week.
