About this role
A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is needed for an acute inpatient setting at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia, working a part-time days/weekends schedule.
### What you'll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations, adjusting as needed in consultation with the supervising physical therapist.
- Collect and communicate patient data to physical therapists, including discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using measurable, objective terminology consistent with insurance guidelines and department policies.
- Charge patients accurately using CPT code format in accordance with insurance guidelines and price file standards.
- Oversee care provided by rehabilitation aides, students, and other support personnel per established regulations.
- Evaluate patient data relative to age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, providing patient and caregiver education as appropriate.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or temporary PTA license (PTA-TEMP) in Georgia required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
- Commitment to maintaining clinical competencies through professional development and best practices.
