About this role
AdventHealth Waterman is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Rehabilitation unit at its Tavares, Florida hospital, with day-shift scheduling.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors to guide individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to support understanding and recovery.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively across the team.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions; supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to reassess and revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; basic computer proficiency in Windows-based programs.
