About this role

A Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator supports physician credentialing and medical staff operations at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange Hospital in La Grange, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Process applications, appointments, and re-credentialing for medical staff and allied health professionals - Maintain and update credential files and databases to ensure compliance with regulatory standards - Develop and maintain a matrix of physician participation and enrollment with contracted payers; notify payers of changes - Schedule, coordinate, and attend department and committee meetings, conferences, and special events - Handle billing, collection, and deposit of medical staff dues - Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding credentialing activities and department operations ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum two years of credentialing or medical staff services experience - Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing database management systems - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred - NAMSS membership or affiliation preferred ### What's included - Compensation range: $21.38–$39.76/hour ($44,470–$82,701 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange is a community hospital located in La Grange, Illinois, operating as part of the UChicago Medicine and AdventHealth partnership.
