About this role
A full-time Physical Therapist on a StaffFlex contract works day shifts at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patient conditions and track progress toward goals.
- Establish individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient-specific objectives.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the medical record.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and home care instructions.
- Discharge patients with complete documentation and appropriate follow-up recommendations.
- Adjust work hours and assist in other centers or programs as patient census demands.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license or Temporary PT license (PT-TEMP).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Entry-level professional competency in physical therapy practices, theory, and clinical application.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency including Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
- Ability to meet departmental productivity standards and adapt to changing caseloads.
