A Food Service Specialist at AdventHealth Castle Rock prepares and delivers patient, retail, and catering meals in a hospital food service environment in Castle Rock, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards.
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen by ensuring equipment and surfaces meet health standards and recording temperatures per regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory through sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to meet operational goals and support efficient food service delivery.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 1+ year of experience in food service, healthcare, or customer service (preferred).
- ServSafe Certification (preferred).
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
