Kitchen Associate

A Kitchen Associate role at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center in Lenexa, Kansas, supporting food service operations within a hospital setting. ### What you'll do - Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items and beverages following standardized recipes and production requirements - Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments while maintaining inventory records and billing documentation - Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification and isolation protocols - Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment using cleaning chemicals at required concentrations - Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation and temperature logs - Coordinate with dietitians on patient diet needs and respond to nutrition-related queries ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) - 1+ year of technical food service experience (preferred) - Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English with understanding of food service terminology - Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office - Knowledge of FIFO inventory method and proper food labeling and dating (preferred) - Effective communication and listening skills; ability to interact courteously with patients and staff ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $15.48–$23.22 (approximately $32,198–$48,298 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and care sites across the United States.
