About this role
AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) based in Dade City, Florida, delivering home health and outpatient occupational therapy services across multiple locations.
### What you'll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist, applying appropriate therapeutic techniques and procedures.
- Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs designed to support functional carryover after discharge.
- Document patient interventions and progress accurately and timely using objective, measurable terminology consistent with insurance guidelines and department standards.
- Conduct age-appropriate assessments and interventions while completing annual age-specific competency requirements.
- Act as a clinical instructor and mentor for students and new staff within the department.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, community education events, and ongoing review of OT policies and procedures.
### What we're looking for
- Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure — required.
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant — required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- NBCOT certification — preferred.
- Entry-level knowledge of medical occupational therapy principles for therapeutic diagnostics and treatment.
- Basic computer proficiency including EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
### What's included
- Pay range: $21.56 – $40.09/hr (approximately $44,845 – $83,387 annualized).
