About this role
Texas Health Huguley Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical Oncology unit on the night shift in Burleson, Texas.
### What you'll do
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments covering biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and discharge planning needs.
- Coordinate patient transitions through the health system and serve as a liaison to post-hospital care providers and community resources.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations according to established clinical protocols.
- Supervise and review patient care activities, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and quality benchmarks.
- Participate in practice group meetings and regular peer review processes.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing, at minimum (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- 1+ year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills with proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
