About this role
A Medical Staff Coordinator at AdventHealth supports physician and allied health medical staff operations at the Ginsburg Tower campus in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Manage the campus medical staff master calendar, including scheduling, conference room logistics, agenda preparation, and minute-taking for all medical staff meetings.
- Maintain confidential records of committee proceedings, forward recommendations and follow-up actions, and submit minutes to the System Medical Staff Office.
- Serve as liaison between medical staff members, campus officers, hospital administration, and centralized medical staff services.
- Conduct required campus orientation for new physician and allied health applicants, including coordination of mask fit testing and badge issuance.
- Convene the Annual Campus Nominating Committee, submit nominations to the System Office, and complete voting reports.
- Support the Campus Chief of Staff with correspondence, calendar management, meeting coordination, and call screening.
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or a related field (Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience considered).
- Minimum 1 year of administrative support experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of primary source verification processes and medical staff bylaws.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and transcription.
- Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) preferred; commitment to pursuing relevant certification required.
