AdventHealth is hiring a contract Physical Therapist (StaffFlex/PRN) for its outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Rome, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Evaluate patients referred to physical therapy and complete initial evaluations within department time standards.
- Apply diagnostic and prognostic testing for musculoskeletal, neurological, and neuromuscular conditions, including standardized special tests to track outcomes.
- Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans with measurable, attainable goals developed in collaboration with patients, families, and the broader care team.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including mobility training, strengthening, modalities, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Coordinate discharge planning as part of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
### What we're looking for
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctoral degree (DPT) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical physical therapy experience required.
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Entry-level professional competency in PT practices, theory, and clinical application.
### What's included
- Competitive premium pay rate of $75/hr (contract title rate); published range $15–$130/hr.
- PRN/contract schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hours/week.
- Direct employment through AdventHealth — no third-party agency.
- Flexible assignment extensions or new assignments available within the AdventHealth system.
- Option to convert to permanent staff status.

AdventHealth is a large faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care. The Rome, Georgia outpatient rehabilitation department serves patients with orthopedic, neurological, and neuromuscular conditions at its 2112 Shorter Ave NW location. The StaffFlex program provides contract clinicians direct employment status within AdventHealth rather than placement through an outside staffing agency.
