About this role
AdventHealth Celebration is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Surgical Oncology Progressive Care Unit (PCU), located in Celebration, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure clear communication.
- Perform EKG monitoring as required per unit protocols and Advanced Life Support requirements.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and team-collaboration skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication with demonstrated problem-solving ability.

The Surgical Oncology PCU provides specialized progressive care to post-surgical oncology patients in a collaborative, team-driven environment. Staff work 36-hour weeks on 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am–7:00 pm) with a weekend rotation.
