About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Acute Care Occupational Therapist at its Bolingbrook, Illinois hospital, with two required weekend day shifts per week. ### What you'll do - Perform initial and ongoing evaluations using evidence-based techniques and established standards. - Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, therapeutic activities, and frequency of care. - Document patient progress accurately and timely using measurable, objective terminology in the electronic medical record. - Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning recommendations. - Discharge patients upon achievement of maximum benefit or per payer and practice guidelines. ### What we're looking for - Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license or Temporary OT license in Illinois (required). - Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred); education must meet state licensure eligibility requirements. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required). - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and EMR systems. - Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff. ### What's included - PRN hourly pay range: $34.14–$63.49 (annualized equivalent approximately $71,011–$132,059 at full-time hours). - Day-shift scheduling with weekend coverage requirement. - Employment within a mission-driven regional health system affiliated with UChicago Medicine. ### About the practice AdventHealth Bolingbrook is part of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth, a faith-based health system serving the suburban Chicago region with a commitment to whole-person care.
