About this role

A PRN oncology outpatient RN is needed at AdventHealth's Cancer Institute in Orlando, Florida, to deliver chemotherapy infusion care in a day-shift ambulatory setting. ### What you'll do - Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV treatments accurately per physician orders, monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout infusion. - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors to guide individualized care plans. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise care plans based on patient response and established standards of care. - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment protocols, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with oncology physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary staff to coordinate safe, effective patient care. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record. ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - BLS/CPR certification required. - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemotherapy certification preferred. - Ability to complete a 4-day, 10-hour-per-shift orientation over 4–8 weeks depending on prior experience. ### What's included - Per diem rate of $43.33/hour; published pay range $31.53–$52.24/hour. - Flexible PRN scheduling: Monday–Friday 6:45 am–5:15 pm and Saturday 9 am–3 pm. - Minimum commitment of 12 shifts per 6-week period, including one Saturday shift. ### About the practice AdventHealth Cancer Institute is part of AdventHealth, a large faith-based not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states. The Orlando campus on North Orange Avenue provides comprehensive outpatient oncology services, including chemotherapy infusion, in a structured ambulatory care environment.
