About this role
A Certified Patient Care Technician on the Oncology unit at AdventHealth Ocala provides direct bedside care to oncology patients on the night shift in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy, delivering age- and acuity-appropriate patient care across a diverse oncology population
- Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies alongside the nursing team
- Follow prescribed isolation protocols, use personal protective equipment correctly, and enforce unit safety regulations
- Perform hand hygiene according to policy and maintain infection-control standards
- Participate in performance-improvement initiatives and support quality standards on the unit
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT certification (required)
- At least 1 year of PCT or equivalent patient-care experience (preferred)
- Prior bedside experience in an acute care unit, or background as a unit secretary or monitor technician (preferred)
