About this role

AdventHealth Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time Night Shift Security Officer at its hospital campus in Zephyrhills, Florida. ### What you'll do - Patrol assigned areas of the hospital, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic and maintaining life-safety standards throughout the night shift. - Respond to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls — including fire alarms during actual events and drills. - Investigate and document suspicious activity, safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities in written and electronic formats. - Use verbal de-escalation techniques to intercede in disputes and diffuse potentially volatile situations. - Administer initial first aid within the level of training attained. - Verify identification and enforce hospital access-control policies for buildings and secured doors. ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Minimum 1 year of related security or law enforcement experience. - Valid Florida Driver's License required. - BLS/CPR certification preferred. - Familiarity with access control systems and CCTV preferred. - Preferred certifications: handcuffing, pepper spray, baton, and/or TASER (or equivalent national credentials). ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.63 – $28.20 (approximately $36,670 – $58,656 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid time off from day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Zephyrhills is a full-service community hospital located at 7050 Gall Blvd, Zephyrhills, FL 33541, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
