About this role
AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver home-based patient care across Buncombe County, North Carolina, operating Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm.
### What you'll do
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound dressing changes, and ostomy care under RN and physician direction.
- Assess patients during clinical check-ins, document vital signs, and screen for signs of abuse or neglect using age-specific guidelines.
- Receive, verify, and implement physician orders, ensuring co-signature by an RN as required.
- Perform diagnostic testing including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, pulse oximetry, and forensic collection in accordance with established protocols.
- Report pertinent observations to the attending physician and RN, and communicate care plan changes to the home health team.
- Participate in weekend/after-hours coverage and on-call rotation as needed.
### What we're looking for
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Valid driver's license and active auto insurance (field travel required throughout Buncombe County).
- 1+ year of medical/surgical experience (preferred).
- Venipuncture skills and proficiency in MS Office; Point of Care software experience preferred.
- IV certification preferred.
