About this role
AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a full-time Medical Staff Manager to oversee physician credentialing, privileging, and medical staff office operations at its Calhoun, Georgia facility.
### What you'll do
- Coordinate the full appointment, reappointment, and privileging process for medical staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Serve as liaison between the hospital and medical staff, communicating privilege status and addressing administrative needs
- Prepare agendas, documentation, and minutes for Credentials, Medical Executive, General Staff, and Bylaws Committee meetings
- Maintain and update the medical staff database and distribute monthly privilege updates to leadership and departments
- Research credentialing, privileging, and regulatory issues (Bylaws, Joint Commission, HFAP standards) to support competent practitioner approvals
- Supervise Medical Staff Office personnel, including participation in hiring, evaluation, and disciplinary processes
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care (or 4+ years of equivalent related experience)
- 2+ years of supervisory experience encompassing staff training, credentialing, and medical staff office functions
- Proficiency in credentialing database software (MSOW, MSONet, or Morrissey preferred) and Microsoft Office suite
- Comprehensive knowledge of primary source verification processes and Joint Commission standards
- Strong organizational, analytical, and conflict-management skills with demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
- CPCS or CPMSM certification preferred; willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe accepted
