About this role

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is hiring a full-time Security Officer II (Night Shift) at its hospital campus in Wesley Chapel, Florida. ### What you'll do - Patrol assigned areas of the hospital, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic and investigating suspicious persons or activities - Respond to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls, including fire alarms during actual events and drills - Use verbal de-escalation techniques to diffuse disputes and potentially violent situations - Administer initial first aid to the level of training attained - Document safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities through written and electronic reports - Verify identification and enforce hospital access policies when unlocking buildings and doors ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - Minimum 1 year of related security experience required - Valid driver's license required - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred - Proficiency with basic computer applications (Windows, Word, Excel); familiarity with Access Control and CCTV systems preferred - Preferred certifications: handcuffing, pepper spray, baton, or TASER (or equivalent national certifications) ### What's included - Pay range: $17.63–$28.20/hr ($36,670–$58,656 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based not-for-profit health network operating across multiple states.
