A PRN day-shift Security Officer role at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel in Wesley Chapel, Florida, responsible for maintaining life safety and security across hospital grounds. ### What you'll do - Patrol assigned areas and monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic on hospital property - Respond to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls including fire alarm drills - Investigate and document safety hazards, suspicious activity, incidents, and criminal activities in written and electronic formats - Use verbal de-escalation techniques to intercede in disputes and diffuse potentially violent situations - Administer initial first aid consistent with level of training attained - Verify identification and enforce hospital access policies at buildings and entry points ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Minimum 1 year of related security or safety experience - Valid Driver's License (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (preferred) - Ability to write clear, accurate legal reports, narratives, and incident documentation - Computer literacy sufficient to operate hospital and security information management systems ### What's included - Pay range: $17.63–$28.20 per hour (approximately $36,670–$58,656 annualized) - PRN day-shift schedule offering flexible availability - Employment within a large faith-based health system with system-wide support resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
