Director- Medical Staff Services

AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a Director of Medical Staff Services to lead credentialing, privileging, and medical staff operations at its hospital in Calhoun, Georgia. ### What you'll do - Oversee all medical staff office functions, including credentialing, privileging, and competence assessment of practitioners. - Monitor compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and applicable state and federal laws to safeguard hospital liability. - Develop and report quality indicators, department goals, and operational metrics to medical staff leadership and administration. - Manage investigative, disciplinary, and legal proceedings, including formal investigations, fair hearings, and responses to subpoenas. - Maintain fiscal responsibility by developing and monitoring the department operating budget and managing medical staff funds. - Lead and supervise direct reports, aligning department scope of service with the hospital's strategic initiatives. ### What we're looking for - Bachelor's degree in business or a healthcare-related field required; Master's preferred. - 5+ years of credentialing, quality, and healthcare management experience. - Strong working knowledge of medical staff bylaws, credentialing and privileging processes, and Joint Commission standards. - Proficiency with credentialing/privileging software and Microsoft Office applications. - Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and financial management skills. - Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) designation preferred. ### What's included - Salary range: $79,993–$148,798 per year. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Gordon is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network serving communities across the United States.
