About this role

AdventHealth University is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Faculty Assistant to deliver didactic and clinical education within its DPT program in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Design, develop, and deliver course materials including syllabi, assessments, and clinical assignments aligned with CAPTE accreditation standards. - Assess student performance through grading, timely feedback, office hours, and formal evaluations. - Assign students to clinical sites, provide orientation, and supervise the application of theory to practice in clinical settings. - Advise students on academic progression, course planning, and career pathways, including mentorship in research and clinical practice. - Contribute to curriculum development, program accreditation efforts, and institutional effectiveness activities. - Engage in scholarly activities including peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and professional organization membership. ### What we're looking for - Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution, or a DPT with board specialty certification in the relevant teaching content area. - Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in any U.S. jurisdiction (required for clinical PT content). - Minimum 2 years of effective university-level teaching or equivalent doctoral-level expertise. - At least one peer-reviewed publication in a nationally recognized academic or professional periodical. - Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, student evaluation, and scholarly engagement consistent with Boyer's model and CAPTE Standard 4B. - Ability to teach in both face-to-face and online environments using computer-based academic delivery systems. ### What's included - Salary range: $60,152 – $111,886 per year. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth University is the academic arm of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
