AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist for day-shift coverage at its hospital campus in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and established standards of practice.
- Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans inclusive of goal-setting, therapeutic activities, and visit frequency.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR using measurable, objective terminology.
- Identify patient and caregiver education needs and deliver teaching, including discharge planning recommendations.
- Discharge patients when maximum functional benefit is achieved or per payer guidelines and standards of practice.
### What we're looking for
- Active Kansas OT license or valid Temporary OT license (required at time of hire).
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred; education must meet licensure eligibility standards).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats with patients, staff, physicians, and administrators.
- New graduates are considered; no minimum prior work experience required.
### What's included
- PRN rate of $55.00/hour with an additional $2.25/hour weekend differential.
- Published pay range: $31.95–$59.42/hour.
- Minimum commitment of two weekend days per four-week rotation.
