About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for its orthopedics program at the Kissimmee, Florida MOB location, with float coverage available at nearby Partin, Celebration Plaza, and Lake Nona Eagle Creek sites.
### What you'll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on physical therapist evaluations, integrating practice standards, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
- Modify treatment plans through ongoing assessment in collaboration with the supervising physical therapist.
- Collect patient data and communicate discharge recommendations to the physical therapist when maximum benefit has been achieved.
- Oversee care provided by rehabilitation aides and coordinate activities of students and other support personnel per established regulations.
- Identify and deliver patient and caregiver education, documenting understanding as appropriate.
- Participate in community events and educational outreach to support consumer awareness of rehabilitation services.
### What we're looking for
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy (required).
- Active Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or temporary PTA license (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Ability to float across multiple outpatient orthopedic clinic locations as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency (preferred).

- Pay range: $21.56–$40.09/hour ($44,845–$83,387 annualized); minimum anticipated rate of $35/hour.

AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and outpatient facilities across multiple states. The Kissimmee orthopedic outpatient therapy program serves patients across several convenient MOB locations in the greater Orlando metro area. The day-shift schedule runs Monday–Thursday 10 am–7 pm and Friday 9 am–6 pm.
