About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Acute Care Physical Therapist for its hospital campus in Bolingbrook, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and established standards of practice. - Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and visit frequency. - Document patient care accurately and completely in the EMR using measurable, objective terminology. - Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning and recommendations. - Oversee care delivered by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides in accordance with regulatory standards. - Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities. ### What we're looking for - Active Physical Therapist (PT) license or Temporary PT license in Illinois (required). - Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred; degree level must meet state licensing eligibility requirements. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, staff, and clinical teams. - New graduates are eligible; no prior experience requirement stated. ### What's included - Pay range: $34.14–$63.49/hr (~$71,011–$132,059 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth serves the Bolingbrook, Illinois community as part of a faith-based regional health system committed to whole-person care.
