About this role
A Certified Patient Care Technician on the Oncology unit at AdventHealth Ocala (Ocala, FL) provides direct bedside care on the night shift in an inpatient oncology setting.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy, delivering age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culture-appropriate patient care.
- Respond appropriately in clinical emergencies alongside the nursing team.
- Follow prescribed isolation protocols, use personal protective equipment correctly, and adhere to hand-hygiene and safety regulations.
- Support quality standards and participate in practice changes driven by performance improvement activities.
- Continuously develop clinical skills and seek learning opportunities on the unit.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required).
- One of the following active certifications: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required).
- 1+ years of applicable PCT experience (preferred).
- Prior bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience (preferred).
