About this role

AdventHealth South Orlando is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its rehabilitation team in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Implement individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations, practice standards, and insurance guidelines - Modify treatment plans as needed through ongoing patient assessments in consultation with the supervising physical therapist - Collect and document patient data; communicate discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved - Practice employee and patient safety principles throughout all daily activities - Participate in community events and educational outreach as an extension of clinical expertise ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in Physical Therapy (required) - Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or temporary PTA license (required) - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required) - Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite - Effective written and verbal communication skills in English - New graduates are welcome; no prior experience required ### What's included - Pay range: $21.56–$40.09/hour (~$44,845–$83,387 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth South Orlando is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit. The South Orlando campus at 601 E. Rollins St. serves a diverse patient population and offers rehabilitation services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment. This PTA role follows a Wednesday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. schedule.
