AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is hiring a full-time Acute Occupational Therapist for its inpatient rehabilitation team in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and practice standards.
- Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency of care.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the electronic medical record using measurable, objective terminology.
- Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning recommendations.
- Oversee care delivered by certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides per regulatory and practice standards.
- Support departmental quality initiatives and participate in community outreach events and educational lectures.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license or Temporary OT license (required).
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred; education must meet licensure eligibility requirements).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to meet departmental productivity standards through effective time management.
- Availability for 2 weekend days per month and 1 major and 1 minor holiday each summer and winter rotation.
