About this role

AdventHealth Heart of Florida is hiring a full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist at its Davenport, Florida hospital campus. ### What you'll do - Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using evidence-based techniques and standards - Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency adjustments - Document patient progress accurately and completely using measurable, objective terminology in the EMR - Provide patient and caregiver education, including discharge planning and recommendations - Oversee care delivered by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides per regulatory and practice standards - Participate in community events and educational outreach as an extension of clinical expertise ### What we're looking for - Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license or Temporary PT license required - BLS/CPR certification required - Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred - New graduates welcome; no prior work experience required - Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite - Strong written and verbal communication skills with patients, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff ### What's included - Pay range: $63,315–$117,770 annually ($30.44–$56.62/hr) - $5,000 sign-on bonus (if eligible) - Up to $10,000 relocation assistance (if eligible) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave ### About the practice AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a full-service acute care hospital located in Davenport, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
