About this role

A Food Service Worker I position is available at AdventHealth Lake Wales, a faith-based acute care hospital in Lake Wales, Florida. ### What you'll do - Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements - Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation - Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification and isolation protocols - Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment using cleaning chemicals at required concentrations - Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation and temperature logs ### What we're looking for - Ability to communicate effectively in English - Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) - At least 1 year of food service or cashiering experience (preferred) - Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and FDA Food Code (preferred) - ServSafe Certification (preferred); bilingual English/Spanish a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $15.31–$24.49/hour (~$31,845–$50,939 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Wales is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and care sites across multiple states.
