AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy within the scope of RN licensure, adjusting care plans based on patient response.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, feedback, and structured professional development programs.
- Ensure unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting body, and hospital policies to uphold patient safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS certification (both required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or relevant nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, financial/productivity management awareness, and EHR proficiency.
- Preferred certifications include CRNI, VA-BC, or CCNS; additional unit-specific credentials may apply.
