Patient Area Cleaner | Part-time | Nights

A Patient Area Cleaner (Nights, Part-Time) role at AdventHealth Fruitland Park ER in Fruitland Park, Florida, responsible for maintaining sanitary patient and public environments in a healthcare emergency room setting. ### What you'll do - Clean and sanitize assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash - Collect and stage soiled linen for pickup and dispose of normal and biohazardous waste per facility standards - Restock paper items, cleaning solutions, and supplies in assigned areas as needed - Utilize the Bed Management system and handheld technology to support productive bed throughput - Clean and disinfect areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with infection control and isolation procedures - Document all work performed and access ancillary units, restrooms, and offices within assigned areas ### What we're looking for - Ability to operate cleaning and janitorial equipment safely and maintain work areas in clean condition - Basic computer skills including standard office software, mouse, and keyboard operation - Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, product labels, and reports, and perform basic arithmetic - Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients - Ability to follow oral and written instructions with full knowledge of basic environmental duties - Healthcare environmental services experience and high school diploma or equivalent (both preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.31–$24.49/hour (~$31,845–$50,939 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, mission-driven health system operating across multiple states, with a focus on whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
