About this role
An Administrative Assistant supports the Home Health and Hospice department at AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice Inc in Temple Terrace, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Answer, screen, and transfer incoming calls; relay messages to clinical staff as needed.
- Track, log, and process Plans of Treatment, Face-to-Face documents, physician orders, and other signature-required documentation.
- Monitor and distribute incoming faxes; request patient lab reports from laboratory on behalf of field staff.
- Run daily reports to manage outstanding Plans of Treatment and orders, ensuring items are signed, checked in, and scanned to the EMR promptly.
- Process all discharge and transfer summaries daily and fulfill medical records requests to physician offices or route to CIOX.
- Manage department timekeeping, including bonus and travel expense submissions, and maintain medical and office supply inventory.
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of medical background required; 5+ years in a related administrative field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet applications.
- Working knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong time management, organizational, and professional communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively in complex, fast-paced situations.
