About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Hospice program, working every weekend (Friday–Sunday nights) out of Hinsdale, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Deliver direct nursing care to hospice patients in both inpatient and field settings across the South Suburbs of Chicago
- Travel to patient residences to assess urgent or emergency conditions including falls and acute symptom changes
- Perform clinical procedures — catheter insertion, feeding tube placement, and IV medication administration — within credentialed scope
- Coordinate medications, medical equipment, and supply delivery in collaboration with the Triage Nurse and Case Management team
- Consult with the Triage Nurse or on-call Nursing Manager before initiating Crisis Care or approving General Inpatient (GIP) status
- Educate patients' families and caregivers on hospice services and care expectations
### What we're looking for
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid driver's license (field travel required)
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite
- Home health or acute care nursing background preferred

- Pay range: $31.60–$50.56/hr (~$65,728–$105,165 annualized)
