About this role
AdventHealth Home Health and Hospice is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for home health services based out of Merriam, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Provide direct patient care in the home setting including medication administration, wound dressing changes, and ostomy care under RN and physician direction.
- Assess patients during visits, document vital signs and pertinent medical information, and screen for signs of abuse or neglect using age-specific guidelines.
- Receive, verify, and implement physician orders, ensuring co-signature by an RN as required.
- Perform diagnostic testing including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, pulse oximetry, and forensic specimen collection per established protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes to the attending physician, RN, and broader home health care team in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotation as part of flexible scheduling coverage.
### What we're looking for
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Kansas.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance (travel to patient homes required).
- 1+ year of medical/surgical experience (preferred).
- Strong venipuncture skills and proficiency with electronic documentation.
- IV certification preferred; high school diploma or equivalent and LPN vocational training required.
