About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Administrative Intern to rotate through core operational departments at its La Grange, Illinois hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Rotate through departments including Hospital Operations, Finance, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, and Mission/Ministry.
- Complete hands-on projects and shadowing assignments within each rotation area.
- Observe organizational dynamics and participate in leadership and department meetings.
- Network with senior leaders to build understanding of key organizational decisions.
- Produce deliverables by completing assigned projects on time and to standard.
- Support overall department efficiency by utilizing resources appropriately and adhering to governing body standards.
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a relevant field of study.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- For Finance/Accounting track: completion of Intermediate Accounting coursework required; intermediate Excel proficiency preferred.
- For Marketing/Strategic Planning track: basic proficiency in Microsoft Publisher preferred.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills.
- Prior experience in team-based activities, student organizations, or a professional work environment preferred.
