About this role
A Medical Office Representative at AdventHealth supports front-desk and patient access operations across five outpatient clinic locations in Castle Rock, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments
- Welcome patients; collect, verify, and enter demographics, insurance, and billing information into registration systems
- Request co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in and facilitate timely discharge to maximize reimbursement
- Maintain open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access teams to support operational flow
- Educate patients on test locations, patient portal use, and non-clinical follow-up steps
- Perform specialty services and coverage duties to ensure smooth Guest Services department operations
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate's degree in Health Services Administration or a related field (preferred)
- 1+ year of customer service and medical office experience including medical terminology, coding, and payment collection (preferred)
- Prior collections experience (preferred)
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential (preferred)
