A Medical Office Representative at AdventHealth Avista handles front-desk registration, patient access, and billing support at their Louisville, Colorado outpatient facility. ### What you'll do - Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments - Register patients by collecting, verifying, and entering demographics, insurance, and billing information - Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in and ensure financial eligibility memos are accurate and current - Coordinate with clinical and ancillary teams to maintain smooth patient flow and timely discharge - Educate patients on test locations, patient portal use, and non-clinical follow-up steps - Provide coverage across assigned work areas to ensure prompt service for patients and clinical partners ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Associate's degree in Health Services Administration or a related field (preferred) - 1+ year of customer service experience in a medical office setting, including medical terminology, coding, charge entry, and payment collection (preferred) - Prior collections experience (preferred) - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $19.38–$31.01/hr (~$40,310–$64,501 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Avista is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
