Medical Office Coordinator

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Office Coordinator at its outpatient facility located at 755 Rinehart Rd in Lake Mary, Florida. ### What you'll do - Facilitate patient registration and appointment scheduling for outpatient and ancillary departments - Communicate with registration and ancillary teams to ensure accurate patient throughput and appointment capture - Coordinate precertification for outpatient clinic visits and notify physician offices of potential non-covered services - Key appointment data and external review information into scheduling systems for all pre-certified visits - Evaluate, compile, and report scheduling information to support the care team's workflow - Maintain clerical records and attend regular staff meetings to stay current on team operations ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required - Computer proficiency and working knowledge of standard office equipment (copier, fax, calculator) - 1+ year of experience in a medical setting with coding, charge entry, and payment collection (preferred) - Background in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (preferred) - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred - Strong independent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize a varied workload ### What's included - Pay range: $15.69–$25.10/hour ($32,635–$52,208 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and outpatient facilities across multiple states, with a strong presence in Central Florida.
